Marco's is located at 1168 Virginia Avenue, Suite 102 in Harrisonburg on the end of the Exxon Station. (That is on the north end of Harrisonburg at the corner of Rt. 42 (Virginia Ave.) and Mt. Clinton Pike.) They have a drive thru window that you can drive behind the Exxon Station and around the side to pick up your order without going inside the store. Thank you to the PTO for organizing “Laps for Lacey” to help raise money for the playground fund!

Laps for Lacey will be on Thursday, May 2, during school. Please make sure your student wears comfortable shoes for walking and/or running around the track with their class. Also, be sure to send a water bottle along with your child.

Overview of 6th grade at J. Frank Hillyard Middle School- On Wednesday, May 8th, at 7:00 PM, J. Frank Hillyard Middle School will host a parent meeting for those students who will be attending Hillyard next year as 6th graders. We will provide an overview of what the 6th grade schedule looks like and answer any questions parents may have about the transition to middle school.

LOST and FOUND Our collection of coats, sweatshirts, jackets, etc. has grown. Please look at the pictures to see if anything looks familiar. They are located inside the front doors of the school.

COINS FOR KISS A COW- This week there are containers on top of the display case in the front of the school with each of the participating teachers’ pictures on them. Students may place their coins in whichever container they would like. Coins will be counted each day, and the top 3 will be announced on morning news. ONLY the TOP 3 will be KISSING a COW!

Make plans to attend “Glow & Grow Night” tonight, Thursday, April 11, 6:00-7:30 in the gym. There will be fun glow games, glow in the dark fun, special guest reader, plus the Scholastic Book Fair will be open in the Library! Come and have fun learning and get some books to read!
